Thanks for stopping in the Write Game and giving your ideas about respelled dialog. You're right. PCness is a huge chunk of this discussion. I'll have to check out how you write your characters' voices.
I wrote sci fi when I was little, yes little, kid in jr high. I was told by a prominent actor's mother that I was going to be a famous writer someday. then, I found Girls, Booze, and parties (didn't have access to drugs in those days). My writing fell to the wayside. I became a writer of daily journals, which of course no one is interested in, except my children. The writings give them an insight as to what sort of screwball I was while growing up. Something I am still trying to do. (Grow up that is). 73 years, still haven't figured out who or what I am. bobm
